AMANDA WISSELGREN

INSPIRATION BEHING THE ARTWORK

Negative spaces- The inspiration behind this collection is accentuating the spaces in between body parts.

The design process has gone from framing the background with the body, to exploring what makes a bodies silhouette still “human”. By bringing this in to a digital space, the aim is to find the middle ground on what silhouette really is human and what is red as an digital creature.

BIOGRAPHY

I am a second year fashion student at the swedish school of textiles. My interest lies in what we express with clothes, its visual communication to others and the handcrafted history behind it. Im aiming to become a costume designer for theatre and dance. But I’m a curious person so you’ll se me do a lot more than that!

TONY MURRAY

INSPIRATION BEHING THE ARTWORK

Amanda Wisselgren – A digital model was created for a piece Amanda designed that explored the negative space created by the human form. Playing with the idea of the piece representing negative space, the shading was inspired by a conceptual black hole, glowing at the edges as it pulls light in but reflects nothing. The digital face that appears represents the human presence all but hidden by gravity of the piece.

BIOGRAPHY

Tony Murray is a designer, educator, and digital artist based in San Francisco, California.

His work focuses on fashion storytelling at the intersection of the real and the unreal, using digital tools as a medium for imagining garment structures unhindered by the laws of physics and playing in the uncanny valley of digital representation of humanity.
